Mahadev Sweets Home was founded in 1982 by late Shri Ramgopal Agarwal, a devoted sweetmaker from Varanasi. Today his sons and grandsons carry the legacy – serving over 2,000 customers daily across three cities. Every mithai is crafted with the belief that food is a form of prayer. We use only A2 ghee from family farms, and our recipes have remained unchanged for four decades. The homestay was added in 1995 to welcome pilgrims “like family”. We are one of the few places in India where you can still find original Jaipuri ghevar, Banarasi peda, and Jodhpuri mawa kachori under one roof.
Hotel add-ons: 24hr check-in, doctor on call, travel desk (train/bus booking), guided temple tour, morning yoga, rooftop view of Mehrangarh fort (Jodhpur) / Kashi Vishwanath (Varanasi). All rooms have spring mattresses, geyser, and traditional decor. We also offer a “Sweetmaker’s package” – live demo of mithai making every Tuesday & Saturday.

🍘 Sweets legacy: At Mahadev Sweets Home, we prepare every mithai as if offering to Lord Mahadev. Our master halwais still use the original recipes from 1982. Best sellers: Mawa Peda (rose/kewra), Angoori Rasgulla, Thandai Burfi (seasonal), and the legendary Mahadev special ghevar during festivals. We never use artificial colors or dalda – only pure ghee and high-grade khoya. We also offer sugar-free mithai (stevia based) for health-conscious guests.
🧉 Namkeen & snacks: Alongside sweets, we have a wide range of traditional namkeen: aloo bhujia, mini samosa, mathri, and khasta kachori (evening special). All made fresh in small batches. Our signature hing kachori is famous in three cities.
🥡 takeaway & shipping: We vacuum-pack dry sweets (kaju katli, peda, chikki) and ship across India within 3-5 days. Orders via website / phone.
🏨 Hotel & hospitality: Our homestay started in 1995 to serve pilgrims and families. Today we have 12 rooms (AC + non-AC) with modern amenities but a rustic feel. Every guest checking in receives a complimentary sweet box (4 pieces of the day). We offer pickup from railway station, guided temple tours, and morning yoga on the terrace.
🍛 Food court: We recently added a small vegetarian food court serving thalis, chaat, and freshly made jalebis. All guests can order from 7 am to 10 pm. The sweets shop is directly connected to the hotel lobby – you never have to step out.
🎉 events & bulk orders: We cater weddings, parties, and corporate events. Special packaging available. Our banquet hall (capacity 100) can be booked for mehendi, satsang, or small gatherings.
Mahadev Sweets Home is more than a business – it's a taste of Banaras, Jodhpur, and Jaipur together. We serve more than 2,000 customers daily, and our homestay maintains a 4.9 rating on Google. Come for the sweets, stay for the experience.
